Spaghetti Super - Wednesday June 2, 2004

To raise money for our Missionettes Retreat, we served our church a delicious hot spaghetti dinner before church this past Wednesday.  If you weren't there, you really missed a great time of food and fellowship.  Here are a few pictures of our dinner:

The mission of Royal Rangers is:

To reach, teach, and keep boys for Christ!

Royal Rangers is a ministry that reaches across the United States and in over 65 nations around the world. It motivates boys spiritually through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, and Christian role models. Boys are strengthened mentally by an advanced awards-based weekly program. Further, the boys increase their physical prowess by participation in age-specific activities and recreation. Finally, they are introduced to church, community, and nature-related activities to develop their social skills and awareness.  Dedicated leaders, called commanders, provide boys the necessary direction during a weekly outpost meeting.

The meetings are designed to develop the total boy for Christ
and offer love and understanding between the boy and a godly
role model.  The Life of a Royal Ranger includes great outdoor adventures through camping, water activities, hiking, rappelling, and mountain climbing, as well as challenging indoor adventures. There will be opportunities year-round to attend tremendous camping events at the outpost, district, or national levels.  The experience as a Royal Ranger will be one of growth. He will grow in four ways. Through proper exercise and diet, his body will develop physically. Through prayer, Bible study, and witnessing, he will grow spiritually. By studying and reading, his mind will grow mentally. And by learning how to treat others, he will develop socially.  Royal Rangers ministers to boys in the United States and in over 65 countries through Bible study and memorization, devotionals, outdoor and camping activities, and Christian role models. Boys are strengthened.  Royal Rangers meet every Wednesday at 7:00PM

Royal Ranger Commander

James McCurdy

Assistant Commanders

Perry Mosley, Drew Morley, Rob Harvey and Victor Lleras

From the Commander:

The Royal Rangers is an awesome program that reaches thousands of boys each year.   In 1906 God poured out His Spirit in Los Angeles California, like He did in the Book of Acts which started many churches.  In 1914 the Assemblies of God began in Hot Springs, AK.   In 1962, Rev. Johnnie Barnes moved to Springfield MO and started the Royal Ranges.   Many boys have given their hearts to Jesus and gone on to do great and mighty things for the kingdom thanks to this wonderful program.   Here at Radcliff First Assembly of God it's our desire to continue such a tradition and to help boys to become Godly men.

The Royal Rangers are working hard in preparations of attending  the District Royal Ranger Pow Wow, June 4-6.  We are praying for a mighty our pouring of God's Holy Spirit.

Here are the pictures you've been waiting for!

We have 8 to 12 boys a week attending here at OUTPOST #4.  The Royal Rangers ministry is open to boys of all ages.  The Ranger kids are 1st and 2nd Grades, the Discovery Rangers, are 3rd -  5th Grades, The Adventure Rangers are 6th - 8th Grades, and the Expedition Rangers are 9th - 12th Grades.  The Rangers have just earned their first badge and are excited and interested to learn about God and what He can do for them.

We are also getting ready for kids camp in July.

The Royal Rangers motto is  "READY".

Our pledge is: "With God's help, l will do my best to sever God, My church, and my fellow man; to live by the Ranger Code; to make the Golden Rule my daily rule.  Please pray for your Rangers and Leaders to be led by Christ.

Your Royal Ranger Commander - James McCurdy
